Cycle: Guest Observer program cycle. Guest investigations are solicited on an annual basis, with an cycle start date of Jun each year. Kepler's baseline mission will cease observations in Nov 2012. This occurs during the second quarter of cycle 4. An extension of cycle 4 over a full year is dependent upon extending the mission lifetime through NASA's 2012 senior review.

Quarter: The spacecraft completes a 90º roll every 3 months to optimize solar panel efficiency. Operational concerns can result in future rolls occurring slightly upon different dates to those advertised. Long cadence Kepler data are archived in files of length 1 quarter.

Quarter Period: Beginning and end dates for data collection.

Data Archived: Data is ingested at the MAST around these dates. Guest Observers have access to their data on these dates.

End of Exclusive Use Period: Kepler data will be publicly available on these dates.
