The workshop will consist of a series of tutorial discussions covering theory and observations associated with the topics below. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience characterizing variable stars, finding planets, etc., through working with Kepler and CoRoT data. Attendees will also have the opportunity to present brief summaries of their current research. Financial assistance for travel and accommodations will be available for successful applicants.

Registered attendees will be invited to submit short presentations (pops) on their research. The on-line presentation submission site will be available in June 2010 and a schedule of submitted research pops will be released about 2 weeks before the workshop.
Attendees may apply for financial support to attend the workshop. Applications are due March 5, 2010 and decisions will be announced by March 26, 2010. If you are awarded travel and/or lodging support for the workshop, you must abide by all rules in the travel guidelines (see links below) and stay at the Pasadena Hilton, the workshop hotel.
