The Keck Observatory Archive (KOA), a NASA-funded collaboration between the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute (NExScI) and the W. M. Keck Observatory (WMKO), has been archiving data from the High Resolution Echelle Spectrograph (HIRES) since August 18, 2004. KOA currently archives and serves raw spectra obtained with the single chip CCD camera (1994-2004), and raw and extracted spectra from the three CCD upgrade (2004-present).
Public access to these data is governed by the data release policy agreed between NASA and the California Association for Research in Astronomy (CARA). Observations supporting Deep Impact and GRB051111 may be accessed from dedicated download pages, as well as through the KOA user interface.
The KOA has inherited the archive ingest and science information system architecture used at the NASA/IPAC Infrared Science Archive (IRSA).
