 Abstract:

          I will present some recent work by our group on Monte Carlo radiation transfer modeling of disk images and spectral energy distributions.  Our simulations have investigated: signatures of disk-planet interactions in T Tauri stars; the possibility of a significant obscured fraction of brown dwarfs by highly flared disks; photopolarimetric signatures of hot spots and disk warping in magnetic accretion models; emission from inner gas disks required to match disk interferometry; and the effects of circumstellar geometry and stellar spectral type on spectral energy distributions and colors of more embedded Class 0 and Class I protostars.
