high spectral dispersion mode (ASTRA-SPR): H-band, 80 Hz: 5.0
H < 9.0
For binaries in which both components are in the angle
tracker FOV, a single component can be selected and sent to the
fringe tracker if the separation is greater than ~0.1 arcsec. This mode
may result in decreased observing efficiency.
Dual Field Phase Referenced mode (ASTRA-DFPR): H < 13.
H < 4.3 mag (80 Hz)
J < 7.5 mag (80 Hz)
40 Hz tracking also available: 1 magnitude fainter limits.
Split-pupil modes: 1 mag brighter limits.
For bright sources, a neutral density filter can be used to
shift the range by up to 4.2 mag.
The FOV is 0.5 arcsec with a plate scale of 31
