The 2015 Sagan/Michelson Fellows Symposium will be in the conference rooms on the 4th floor of the Keith Spalding building (B4 on this campus map). The Keith Spalding building is on the southeast corner of Wilson and California. Attendees will have access to the internet through Caltech wireless.
A block of rooms at the standard government rate for 2015 has been reserved at the Sheraton Pasadena for symposium participants. The Sheraton is approximately 1.1 miles from the Caltech campus. Please note that the group rate is only available until April 5 so please make your reservations before then.

To and from the airport
One of the best and least expensive ways to get from LAX to Pasadena is to take the FlyAway bus to Union Station, then take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park station in Pasadena which is less than a mile from the Pasadena Sheraton (see map). The FlyAway is an air-conditioned coach with bathroom facilities that departs from LAX every 30 mins, and takes around 30-45 mins to reach Union Station, depending on traffic. Click here for information on how to pay for the FlyAway ($7 each way). The Metro Gold Line is $1.50 each way, payable before you board the train.
If you arrive at LAX International Airport and need ground transportation to Pasadena, try one of the shuttle services (also known as "shared ride vans") available on a walk-up or reservation basis. The vans are available outside of LAX baggage claim under the Shared Ride Vans sign. Contact information for airport shuttle services can be found here.
To and from the symposium
Transportation between the hotel and the Caltech campus will not be provided. The distance between the Sheraton and Caltech is approximately 1.3 mile, a pleasant walk if you do not have a rental car. You can also request the hotel shuttle to bring you to campus if it is available.
Parking at Caltech
In order to park on the Caltech campus during the week, you must purchase a visitor parking permit.
Continental breakfast and light AM/PM break food will be provided each day.
Symposium Dinner! There will be a symposium dinner at 7 pm on Thursday evening May 7 at El Cholo restaurant (260 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena). The dinner $35 per person and money will be collected on site. Guests are welcome to attend. Please RSVP for the dinner to saganfellowship@ipac.caltech.edu if you plan to attend and/or bring any quests.
There are several lunch options on the Caltech campus and within walking distance of Caltech in the South Lake Avenue business/shopping district.
